These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Carpe! ("Carpe!", "the app"), developed by Kuip Limited. By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using Carpe!, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

Carpe! is a local-first mobile data capture system for structured records. It enables users to create databases and tables, collect field data, ingest supported BLE sensor payloads, scan codes and tags, attach media, and generate record-level cryptographic integrity data.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Carpe!.

4. Your Data

You retain responsibility for the content you create, capture, store, import, or export through Carpe!, including structured records, tags, scanned values, BLE readings, locations, and attachments.

5. Local Storage, Integrity Records, and Export

Carpe! stores data locally on your device unless you explicitly export it or integrate it into another workflow. The app may create cryptographic integrity records to make stored data tamper-evident, but those records do not guarantee admissibility, regulatory acceptance, or suitability for any specific legal or commercial purpose.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Carpe! to:

• Store or distribute unlawful content
• Violate applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights
• Misrepresent records, sensor readings, or operational data
• Attempt to circumvent the app’s integrity or security mechanisms

7. Bluetooth, NFC, and Hardware Features

Some Carpe! functionality depends on device hardware and third-party peripherals, including BLE sensors, cameras, location services, and supported NFC-capable devices. We do not guarantee compatibility with every external device or workflow.

8. No Warranty

Carpe! is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kuip Limited will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Carpe!, including loss of data, interrupted operations, or reliance on integrity records.

10. Termination

You may stop using Carpe! at any time. You may also remove locally stored data from within the app using the in-app delete controls, including the Delete account action.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
